Interesting History Topics For Your Expository Essay

Interesting History Topics For Your Expository EssayAs a student of literature, I am delighted to discover that my subjects of choice for my Expository Essay are interesting history topics. Perhaps because I have always been fascinated by history, but in the past I have never had much interest in writing an essay. This is not because I am not good at it, but rather because I simply never found the topic of a history essay fascinating. Then this semester I began taking an intro-to-history class and was shocked by the creative and unique way in which my classmates were engaging with their assignments. There are many more interesting history topics for students to focus on. When you have decided which of your history subjects is right for you, it is time to find out how to write an expository essay that will interest students. The essay itself should have an introduction, a central argument, an analysis, and conclusion. Your introduction should set the tone of the entire essay and the pe rspective that you are putting on the topic. Then the argument should be supported by facts and figures in the article or syllabus for further research. Finally, your conclusion should be based on the findings of your expository essay and anything else you feel is relevant. In some cases, the conclusion is not just a retelling of what happened during the course of the essay, but it may actually make an impact on how students see the issues in the future. For instance, if the conclusion deals with the current economic problems of the United States and Europe, it may serve as a wake up call to the United States and other countries to deal with their public school system's lack of discipline and curriculum. This approach to writing an expository essay is very similar to what is used in popular history topics such as black history and civil rights. Therefore, it is common knowledge that most students will have a rudimentary understanding of these topics, but they do not always recognize h ow the topics are relevant to their life experience.History can teach us so many important aspects of our country's past. Therefore, these subjects are always an excellent way to teach history in a more interesting and dynamic way. In addition, when you are teaching your own students about the subject of your classes, you can customize the lesson by using different historical topics. This allows you to appeal to the interests of your students and then create different texts for different students. It is important to remember that an expository essay requires much more than just facts and figures. A true expository essay will really challenge your students by making them think and will contain powerful language, analysis, and so forth. As you consider your options, consider the future of history in America and all of the possibilities that you can use to educate today's generation about the historical role of history in our society. You can help to shape the course of history by readin g history, keeping a record of important events, and ensuring that our government continues to promote excellence in the discipline of history. That is why it is important to choose a history topic that interests you.

U.S. States Ranked by Area

The United States is the worlds third largest country by area, ranked behind Russia and Canada. Within that large are 50 states that vary widely in area. The largest state, Alaska, is more than 400 times larger than Rhode Island, the smallest state.  Including water features, Alaska is 663,267 square miles. In contrast, Rhode Island is a mere 1,545 square miles, and 500 square miles of that is Narragansett Bay. A Big Area Does Not Mean a Big Population Texas is bigger than California, making it the largest state of the 48 contiguous states, but measured by population, the rankings are reversed. California is the most populous state with  39,776,830 residents, according to 2017 U.S. Census estimates, while Texas had a population  of  28,704,330. The Lone Star State may be catching up, though, with a growth rate of 1.43 percent in 2017 compared with 0.61 percent for California. When ranked by population, Alaska drops to 48th place. Alaska  Is Larger Than the Next Three States Combined By area, Alaska is so large that it is larger than the next three states combined—Texas, California, and Montana—and is more than twice the size of second-ranked Texas. According to the State of Alaskas official website, its one-fifth the size of the lower 48 states. Alaska stretches about 2,400 miles east to west and 1,420 miles north to south. Including islands, the state has 6,640 miles of coastline (measured from point to point) and 47,300 miles of tidal shoreline.   Rhode Island Is the Smallest Rhode Island measures just 37 miles east to west and 48 miles north to south.  The states total boundary length is 160 miles. In area, Rhode Island could fit in Alaska  nearly 486 times. The next smallest state by  area  is Delaware at 2,489 square miles, followed by Connecticut, which at 5,543 square miles is more than three times the size of Rhode Island and more than twice the size of Delaware. If it were a state, the District of Columbia would be the smallest at just  68.34  square miles of which  61.05 square miles  is land and 7.29 square miles is water. Big Country West of the Mississippi The 10 largest states by area are located west of the Mississippi River:  Alaska, Texas, California, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon, and Wyoming.   7 Smallest Are in the Northeast The seven smallest states—Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and Rhode Island—are in the Northeast and are among the 13 original colonies. Energy Storage for Desalination Processes †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Energy Storage for Desalination Processes. Answer: Introduction Renewable energy is an important source of energy for any country as it has characteristics to replenish itself after a certain period of time. The main use of renewable energy is in electricity generation and transportation sector. Australia also uses renewable resources for creating other energies that can fuel the needs of the country. The aim of this paper is to analyse the stand of the government of Australia in the context of renewable energy. The secondary data and information are collected regarding the use of renewable energies in Australia and economic analysis is done. Currently, 4.1% of the electricity generation is done through the use of renewable energy. However, the government of the country has decided to increase the use of renewable energies in the electric production and transportation industries. Byrnes et al. (2016) stated that the prime reason for the target is the opportunity that is available to the country. It can use the wind powers and the land to produce electricity which can easily meet one-fourth of the demand of the country. However, the major issue is that, there are no large-scale production plants in the country and hence the cost of production is very high. This high price of renewable energy gives rise to the demand of conventional energy. The government is taking the responsibility to attract foreign investment in order to develop and boost the renewable energy production in the country. Therefore, this topic mainly concerns the government of the country, the players in the energy industry and the workers working in the i ndustry. From the perspective of economics, this decision to increase the use of renewable energy has justification. The demand for the energy is increasing with the increase in the population of the country. The conventional coal-fired power plant is already meeting 67% of the demand of the country (Martin and Rice, 2015). Apart from that, producing electricity using coal is not only harmful to the environment, but it also increases the cost of operation as well. The decision of the government in terms of transition to the renewable energy production and use will also increase the job opportunity for the people of the country as well. Again, from the perspective of resource economics, the decision also makes sense. The use of coal in the production of electricity increases the pollution in the environment. According to Bloch et al. (2015), most of the economic activities use the non renewable energies and hence the degradation of the environment is inevitable. Therefore, using the renewable resources for the production of the electricity is the equilibrium from the point of view of resource economics branch. Gude (2015) highlighted that equilibrium from the environmental perspective is also important for long term sustenance of the environment. Furthermore, another underlying objective of the government is to diversify the source of the electricity and fuel for transpiration. This according to the principles of economics would also result in a diversification of occupation within the Australian economy. However, the figure 1 suggests that, there is no pattern in the inflow of investment. Howard et al. (2018) stated that this is due to the lack of policy and the clear goal of the government regarding the growth and the development of the renewable energy sector of the country. However, the government has managed to increase the use of solar panel in different provinces of the country. According to the data, a higher percentage of use of solar panel can be seen in South Australia with 28.8% (Azad et al. 2014). Apart from that other province also shows high percentages of use of the solar panel. This clearly shows the intent of the government and the preferences of the people of the country. This can also be justified with the principles and the theories of economics. These are the changes in the demand due to the shift in the preferences of the customers. The corresponding demand for the conventional form of electricity has reduced. In this context, the theory of substitute product can also be stated as solar power is a direct substitute of the conventional powers. As per the data of figure 3, the price rose sharply till 2013 and after that, it started falling. This is due to the increase in the demand for the substitute goods of conventional electricity (H ua, Oliphant and Hu, 2016). Another reason for the decrease in the demand of the regular electricity is the decrease in the price of the alternative renewable energies due to economies of scale and technological development. Recommendations Based on the analysis of the paper, it is recommended to the government of Australia to invest money in order to increase awareness among the citizens of the country regarding the benefits of using renewable energy. This would also increase the demand for the renewable resource use in the market and hence the Mandatory Renewable Energy Targets of the country will be accomplished faster. In addition to that, the government is also recommended to carry out campaigns so that investors can also be attracted towards development of the renewable resource industry. Furthermore, it is also recommended to the new companies to start a venture in the sector in order to boost the use of renewable energy. This will also increase the job opportunity for the people of the country as well. Conclusion Therefore, the stand of Australia in terms of renewable energy use in the production of electricity and transpiration is clear. The aim of the government is to increase the use of the clean energies by the end of the year 2020. There are many of the underlying objectives as well which will be accomplished following the increase in the use of renewable energy in Australia. The number of job creation in the field would rise and hence this will lead to sustenance. However, as per the finding of the study, the government needs to take responsibility in order to attract foreign investment to fund the growth and the development of the sector. Man Or God Essays - National Basketball Association Finals

Man Or God? Zack Price 9-21-00 Michael Jordan: Man or God? They say being on the cover of Sports Illustrated is a jinx, that one is doomed for failure as soon as their image is displayed on the nation's most popular sports magazine. It has previously happened to many athletes, and even entire teams have unreasonably dropped off the face of the earth after appearing on SI's cover. In 1987, Sports Illustrated's baseball preview touted an Indian Rising, featuring Joe Carter and Cory Snyder of the Cleveland Indians. It said this was the year the Indians would stop being laughed at. The Indians finished with over 100 losses and dead last in the American League. Six months later SI ran the headline: Toronto takes off when the Blue Jays took a three-game lead over the Detroit Tigers with the regular season running out. But after that cover, the Blue Jays and company collapsed and Detroit went to the playoffs. The SI jinx is widely known. Lee Smith, the bullpen star of the St. Louis Cardinals once refused to be photographed for the cover out of fear of the jinx. It's hard to argue with him. He retired as the all-time leader in saves. One man, maybe not even a man, but a sort of immortal, has been on the cover numerous times. Never once has he slumped, gone on inexplicable cold streaks, fallen apart under pressure, or lost the big one. He is Michael Jordan. Jordan was born on Feb. 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, NY, the fourth of five children. That spring, the family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina. Michael's family was never very wealthy during his childhood, and as a teenager he found himself mowing lawns for $1.90 per hour. As a high school sophomore Michael got cut from his high school's varsity team. Instead of being disappointed and dwelling on not making the team, he worked on his game as hard as he ever had and ended up becoming a high school All-American his senior year. He then went on to play for North Carolina on a basketball scholarship. He made the game winning shot in the national championship game as a freshman, and turned pro 2 years later after his junior year. The Chicago Bulls drafted him with the 3rd pick in the 1984 draft. The number 23 with the word ?Bulls? written above it is now recognizable to anyone who knows anything about basketball. His face is familiar to kids and adults alike, all around the world. He has done commercials for tennis shoes, sports drinks, cereal, and even underwear, and all have been extremely successful. He has been in movies, television shows, and music videos, and all have been popular. In the June 22, 1998 Sports Illustrated, Michael Jordan is on the cover. He is pictured holding a basketball with two hands above his head, getting ready to loft a shot towards the opposing team's basket. His body ? suspended in air, as Michael was often found during a National Basketball Association game, jumping, seemingly floating over his opponents on his way to another two points. The photo was taken in Salt Lake City, Utah, during the 6th game of the NBA Finals, the clinching game for the Chicago Bulls. This was ?The Shot? that ended the series, giving Michael and his Bulls their sixth title, third in a row. The Most Valuable Player for all six was Michael Jordan. The SI photographer who took this wonderful picture, allows us to see just about all of Michael, aside from the tips of his shoes, which are cut-off at the bottom of the page, but assumed to be off the ground. At the top of the frame we see the ball that he is about to shoot. His entire body is perfectly centered in the middle of the page, and is the only thing on the cover that is in focus. Everything about Michael in this picture is perfect. His feet are shoulder width apart, hips and shoulders facing his target and his grip on the ball is immaculate. The ball itself is sitting on the pads of his fingers with the laces in line with the hoop, prepared to be thrown in the

5 Steps to Choosing the Right Medical Career Path

5 Steps to Choosing the Right Medical Career Path Whether you’re a biochem whiz, or just a Grey’s Anatomy addict, you’ve decided that the medical field is for you. You want to save lives, or hold hands and mop brows, or make a difference. Or maybe you just want to make more money, and have noticed that the medical professions tend to be well-paid. That’s great. But what if you don’t know any more than that? Where to next? Here are 5 steps to figuring out which medical career to choose, and in which direction to push yourself in your drive forward toward success.1. Choose your adventureWhatever your motivation, dig a little deeper and make sure you know exactly what it entails. Then orient yourself accordingly. Are you more of a people (read: patients) person? Or a lab rat? Do you want to do the nitty-gritty day-to-day aide of the ailing? Or would you rather assist a surgeon? Or would you like to be more hands on and try working in PT or occupational therapy? Figure out what skills and tastes you hav e, then figure out which field within the medical family suits those best. Then make sure you’re aware of any training or schooling you’d require for that field, and whether or not you’re willing to acquire it.2. SpecializeWould you prefer to be in hospital or clinic? A doctor’s office or an urgent care? Do you want to be around children, the elderly, expecting mothers? Or a couple hundred beakers and test tubes? Figure out your ideal work environment, then start looking for positions within those.3.  Pick an ideal roleWithin that work environment, what’s your ideal role? Do you want to be a leader? A team member? An assistant? Would you rather do administrative duties? Or patient care? Consider what is most appropriate for you, your skills and talents, your knowledge, the level of education you’re likely to attain, and of course, your temperament. (Don’t decide to be a trauma surgeon if stress makes you faint. And don’t pick a desk job in health records if you get easily bored.)4. Get the skillsOnce you’ve narrowed down a field, a work environment, and role, make sure you have a good grasp on the skills and experience required. If you don’t have any of them, or you need to pursue certifications or degrees, get started as soon as you can. You’ll never have a shot at the jobs you want unless you work to be qualified enough to land them.5. Study hardNo matter what path you’ve chosen, you’re probably going to need some additional school. Do similar soul-searching when choosing a program that’s best for you. Then study hard, keep your eye on the prize, and remember: now that you’ve done all this preparation and self-interrogation, you can be confident in your choice. This is the career you want. Go get it.
